This is my official introduction-Mercy to anyone who has a couple of extra minutes to actually read them all. I started off on the wrong foot and got a bit behind this week and prioritized completing my learning theories assignment first. So here goes...
My name is Jacquelyn Sowa but my family and people who know me call me Jodi, my official middle name. I live in Birchwood with my husband Steve and two boys Jordan (19) and Keenan (14). Our family loves the outdoors, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, pontooning, swimming, camping, hiking and anything else we can find to do enjoying the beautiful outdoors. I am also a "hockey mom" and games can get pretty intense sometimes...and I will admit that I can get pretty wound up as well.
We also co-exhist with a few creatures as well, three dogs; Windsor-a German Short Haired Pointer, Callie-is a Springer Spaniel, and Fergie-is a West High Terrier. We have a very loud Sun Conure parrot-Andy, that wants to start conversations at the most inopportune times; 5:00 am Saturday morning, and 11:00 pm during the week. He- She has been with us for 6 years and should know our schedule a little better by now, so much for bird learning theories.
Oh, I almost forgot to let you know my connection to this course. I work for WITC Rice Lake as an adjunct ABE teacher at the Mapleplain Community Center, located outside of Cumberland. I also work as an adjunct instructor with the LCO Community College, teaching Computer app's, Basics, General Psychology, Sociology and ALP Math classes. They follow Fall or Spring patterns so I only have two or three classes per semester for LCO.
